The Budo Taijutsu is a millenary Japanese discipline; the ninja people practiced it, the “Shinobi” and the “Kunoishi” (man and woman respectively), the ninja’s power was the surprise attack, and there wasn’t big difference between they (men and women) in the training, just in the battle the only difference is that the woman was a spy, she used her beauty for deceive her enemy, in that way, the ninjas could to attack from inside and outside. The women had herbal medicine knowledge, and she used short weapons, things that she could hiding on her body, like my favourite weapon, the Kanzashi, that’s a sharp rib with poison, it was used in the hair like the Geisha’s ornament. Now, in the present, all the school are joned in the Bujinkan Budo Tijutsu.
I train this from December 2009, my Dojo’s name is “Shoshin”, that means something like apprentice, and I’m the only woman there; Dojo means the place where we train, also the apprentice’s group with their teacher named “sensei”, that means master. Practice this has been funny and educative because the entire thing I learn it’s not only for the Dojo, it’s for everything, like an ideology and philosophy of life.
